>>> Blackjack Strategy
Hopefully you know how to
play blackjack, or at
least, are familiar with the game. If not, it is
simply a game between the dealer and player in which
both draw cards to see who can get closer to twenty-one
without going over. The players cards are always
exposed, while the dealer will always have one exposed
and one facedown card until the player settles or holds
their hand, after which the dealer exposes their second
card and then commences drawing if need be. This
may sound confusing, and if it is, please brush up on
the rules of the game first before trying to learn a
strategy. Otherwise, the following tips have been
compiled from the basic blackjack strategy chart, which
is the leading blackjack strategy based on mathematical
odds and computer simulations. We suggest you
memorize the following tips and/or print this page for
quick reference while you gamble at the
online blackjack table:
--Hit if you are
holding anything less than a 16 and the dealer's
card is a 7 or greater.
--Hit if you are holding an 8 or less combined
card value, no matter what the dealer shows.
--Stand if you are
holding at least a 17 or greater (21 is a natural, and
will win in most cases).
--Double down if
you are holding an 11.
--Double down if you are holding a card value of
10, and the dealer's card is lower than a 10.
--Double down if you are holding a card value of
9, and the dealer's card is lower than a 7.
--Double down if you are holding an Ace, and
the dealer's card is a 4,5 or 6.
--Split if you are
holding two Aces.
--Split if you are holding two 8's.
--Split if you are holding two 2's or two 3's,
and the dealer's card is a 4,5,6 or 7.
In order for the strategy
to have its full effect, you must prescribe to these
actions every time the situation warrants. For any
situations not mentioned, you are advised to consult a
blackjack strategy card. Also, take mind to not
take insurance if ever offered (the House Edge is much
too high), and to never split double two 10's or
matching face cards.
